Chords in the key of F major on ukulele

The key of F major has seven diatonic chords: F, Gm Gm Gm Gm, Am, Bb, C, Dm Dm Dm Dm and E°. As sevenths: Fmaj7 Fmaj7 Fmaj7 Fmaj7, Gm7 Gm7 Gm7 Gm7, Am7 Am7 Am7 Am7, Bbmaj7 Bbmaj7 Bbmaj7 Bbmaj7, C7 C7 C7 C7, Dm7 Dm7 Dm7 Dm7 and Em7b5. They come from the F major scale, F, G, A, Bb, C, D and E, one on each note. On ukulele, the shapes below are the seventh chords of every degree, and the tonic one has E in the bass.

On the ukulele, the high reentrant G makes every shape light — and with four strings, every note is exposed. Its soft nylon strings sound warm and mellow, light enough to float gently over a song.
