Cm(add9) chord: minor added ninth
Cm(add9) is the minor added ninth chord on C: C, Eb, G and D (1–b3–5–9). Cm(add9) stacks the root C, the minor third Eb, the perfect fifth G and the major ninth D. The minor added ninth keeps the strength of the minor triad and adds openness through the ninth, without the seventh.
