Frevo on guitar
Frevo on guitar: the strumming pattern “thumb on every beat”, in 2/4, with audio on its own page. On the acoustic guitar, a chord progression comes to life as full, ringing shapes, with the low string anchoring the bass and the rest filling out the harmony.
Pure, uncut energy: frevo is the soundtrack of Pernambuco's carnival, so fast it sends dancers flying with their colorful little umbrellas. On this page you'll find the genre's strumming patterns — that is, the quick, clipped rhythmic figures that deliver its electric drive.
