Asus2sus4 — suspended second and fourth
Notes in Asus2sus4: A – B – D – EFormula: 1 – 2 – 4 – 5In the formula, the numbers count steps of the major scale starting from the note that names the chord; "b" lowers a half step, "#" raises one — and a slash names the bass note.
Both suspensions at once: the second and the fourth take the place of the third. With no third the chord is neither major nor minor, and with both notes together it sounds wide, full of open strings.
The same chord on all four instruments
Where to use it: Fingerpicked pop and folk, intros, and any passage where the accompaniment needs to ring open.
