Bolero on guitar
Bolero on guitar: the strumming patterns “cinquillo” and “Brazilian style”, in 2/4, each with audio on its own page. On the acoustic guitar, a chord progression comes to life as full, ringing shapes, with the low string anchoring the bass and the rest filling out the harmony.
The bolero is Latin music's declaration of love: slow, solemn, and dramatic, made to be heard with eyes closed and heart open. On this page are the genre's strumming patterns, which are simply the patient rhythmic figures that cradle these impassioned songs.
