Ballad on guitar

Ballad on guitar: the strumming pattern “6/8 strum”, in 6/8, with audio on its own page. On the acoustic guitar, a chord progression comes to life as full, ringing shapes, with the low string anchoring the bass and the rest filling out the harmony.

Every ballad asks for calm: a slow tempo, space between the notes, and an emotion that builds little by little until it fills the whole song. Here you'll find the patterns made for that mood — in other words, soft, spacious accompaniments that let the melody and lyrics breathe up front.
