Bachata on guitar

Bachata on guitar: the strumming pattern “derecho”, in 4/4, with audio on its own page. On the acoustic guitar, a chord progression comes to life as full, ringing shapes, with the low string anchoring the bass and the rest filling out the harmony.

Bachata is the Caribbean's dancing romance: passionate melodies glide over a warm sway that guides the couple's every step. Here you'll find the style's strumming patterns — in practice, the rhythmic figures that carry the genre's songs, ready to back anyone singing or dancing.
