Reggaeton on electric guitar
Reggaeton on electric guitar: the strumming pattern “dembow”, in 4/4, with audio on its own page. On the electric guitar a chord progression tends to sound best when you keep the shapes compact and let the amplified sustain hold them, trusting the band to cover the low notes.
An urban Latin sound made for packed dance floors, reggaeton revolves around the dembow — which can be understood as that steady boom-cha-boom-chick that keeps everyone moving. The hub gathers the style's strumming patterns, the rhythmic figures that recreate this contagious sway.
