Sertanejo — Guitar

The acoustic guitar sits at the very heart of Brazilian music: bossa nova was practically invented on it, and it carries samba, choro and MPB with equal ease. The soundtrack of Brazil's countryside, sertanejo lives on emotional melodies and duet vocals about love, longing and simple living. Here you can browse two paths within the genre: the pop axis, in other words the modern radio-friendly branch, and the classic caipira style, the traditional root it all grew from.
